Job DescriptionThe Technical Sales Engineer within the
Hydrography service line is responsible to have the opportunity to
Introduce & grow the Fugro portfolio of solutions, in support of
our client's Coastal Survey & Hydrography (CS&H) objectivesJob
Responsibilities Proactively collaborate with Business-line
stakeholders to identify strategic (Coastal Surveys & Hydrography)
sales opportunities through the delivery of Fugro's collective
technology solutions & service-line offerings.Drive key customer
facing meetings and events that serve to introduce Fugro's
offeringsProvide technical and commercial expertise, and
participate in meetings including customer visits and
presentations, proposal clarification meetings, project kick off
meetings, and Technology/Service trials/pilots.Create a "trusted
solution advisor" relationship with our customer's business and
internal technical teammatesQualify potential opportunities and
shepherd deals through the sales process by working on proposal
writing, creating content libraries, ensuring all Request For
Proposal (RFP) requirements are met, managing proposal schedule(s),
and soliciting input from technical team.Collaborating with
commercial team-members; manage business intake, review, due
diligence, and proposal design in representation of one-Fugro
CS&H solutions.Provide oversight & assistance to ensure a
Professional Experience for customers during all aspects of BD &
sales process and touch points, including: Formal meeting agendas,
formal follow-up stating sequence of events and next steps in
writing, and issue resolution in a timely fashion.Collaborating
with commercial team-members; provide key inputs that influence our
team towards a winning proposal, based on a cohesive strategy that
leverages deep knowledge of market-sector, customer key-interests
and Fugro's solutions profile.Be a master communicator across all
departments. Live by the motto "One-Fugro" ensuring Business
leadership has full visibility of emerging market trends.Work as a
'client-interests ambassador' with the technology group, marketing,
and all other teams to ensure successful technology/service
launches, and project development through execution.Develop &
communicate insightful knowledge of competitors' technology and
services to the greatest extent possible.Understand and evolve
processes impacted by new technology to drive adoption and increase
Salesforce productivity with department leadership.Collaborate with
the technology group on the product roadmap build and
understand/communicate changes to the initial roadmap through
department leadership.Be a trusted company resource, through to
executive level, for questions on market delivery and client
appreciation of Fugro.Proactively identify new and innovative
technologies/services that can be leveraged to accelerate the
company's profile offering.Job Requirements Authorized to work in
the United States without restrictionsPossess the ability to obtain
a valid passport for international travel.Possess a Bachelor's
DegreeHave 10 years or more work experience related to this role
(Hydrography / Coastal Survey), including experience working in or
supporting tech teams, or in commercial-sales, business or
market-development functions.Have 3 years or more of experience
working in Geo-Data services delivery or an adjacent fieldIn-depth
knowledge of Fugro and competitor services, products and
technologies - related to coastal and offshore survey.Experience in
technical writing and preparation of proposals Ability to pull,
review, and analyze data to provide actionable insightsSufficient
technical knowledge in order to efficiently collaborate with
engineering & project-management team members.Competency IT skills
to include Microsoft's Office Suite and Presentation toolsets
(preferably)Understanding of business-typical ERP and CRM
systemsAbility/Willingness for extensive business travel, annually
up to 50%Additionally, Desirable:Fluency in SpanishKnowledge of
(US) State/Federal Agency contracting and projects
completionQualifications related to environmental, survey or
(marine-related) engineering disciplines - and/or - professional
experience of geospatial data analysis, criteria derivation and/or
modelling in support of commercial applications.Experience with
