University - Fundamentals of BusinessWake Forest University is
collaborating with Kaplan University Partners to provide precollege
students with exceptional, career-minded enrichment/certificate
programs taught online by world-class experts from Wake Forest
University and industry. The Wake Forest University - Fundamentals
of Business course will show students how today's most competitive
companies operate: how they create their brands and products; how
they innovate, find people, manage budgets and how investors look
at them. This 2-4 week course is ideal for students thinking about
studying business, economics, banking, technology or marketing in
college. Students will get an inside look at today's business that
few high school students have ever experienced and will be guided
by Dr. Dan Fogel, an award-winning professor at Wake Forest
University, through lecture, multimedia simulations and interactive
assignments. Students will also receive personal guidance from a
Wake Forest mentor who will provide encouragement and direction on
all assignments, inspire and motivate students to succeed and offer
brainstorming and ideation help as students prepare for their final
project.Role DescriptionKaplan University Partners (KUP) is seeking
Wake Forest University students and alumni to act as part-time
mentors to precollege students enrolled in online programs. Course
mentors will engage and support students one-on-one throughout the
2-4 week course. Mentors also provide individualized support and
encouragement at predetermined moments throughout the course, using
online video conferencing and digital messaging tools such as
email, chat, or SMS. Finally, mentors advise and guide students on
course assignments.In preparation for the role, mentors will
complete a paid training program (3 hours of self-paced modules and
exercises as well as a live component), receive support from KUP
staff, and both give and receive support as part of the course

positions with Kaplan are paid at least $15 per hour or$31,200 per
year for full-time positions. Compensation for specific positions
are based on job level, skills, years of experience, and education,
