Located in Houston, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. Further career growth and quick advancement is possible in this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Responsibilities- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Help with internal and external audits as required- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Execute full-cycle A/P- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
