Job Description:
Position Summary:
The 401(k) Benefits Associate is responsible for administering the
day-to-day operations, weekly funding, and reconciliation of client
benefit programs (Retirement plan, Flexible Spending Account,
HSA/HRA plan). Provide excellent customer service and quality
benefit administration. Provide analytical and technical support in
the delivery of client benefit plans. This position reports to the
Benefits Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
- Assist Department Lead with client 401K, IRA, FSA, and HSA/HRA
plans;
- Work effectively to make sure the plans run smoothly;
- Investigate discrepancies and provide information in
non-routine situations;
- Responsible for the administration and coordination of multiple
401K, IRA, FSA, and HSA plans;
- Assist with annual reporting and preparation of 5500's;
- Assist with TPA's, vendors, and brokers to maintain plan
compliance;
- 401K, FSA, HSA weekly plan funding and reconciliation;
- Assist Accounting Dept. with the reconciliation of bank/GL
account;
- Work with Benefit Administrators to handle any discrepancies
with employee paychecks;
- Utilize payroll system to create files, submit contributions,
and integrate with vendors;
- Assist with vendor integration files, configuration, funding,
and payroll related processing;
- Maintain a working knowledge of government regulations as they
pertain to retirement plans;
- Provide customer service support to internal and external
customers;
- Work/communicate with other departments to keep the client
satisfied.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- 1 to 2 years' 401K administration experience required;
- Bachelor's degree recommended;
- Excellent communication and organization skills are
required;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with
associates;
- Capable of effective planning and priority setting;
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while
working under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefits
administration;
- Knowledge of 401K plans and governing laws;
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics
skills;
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to
utilize MS Word, Excel, and internal databases;
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative
skills;
- Ability to maintain confidential information;
- Valid driver's license.
