Sr Communications & Engagement Specialist
JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Communications & Engagement Specialist is responsible
for developing and delivering the internal communications and
engagement strategy. Will provide effective, inclusive
communications that are aligned to Company priorities and business
objectives. This will be delivered via multiple channels providing
a positive impact on employee engagement, culture, wellbeing, and
productivity, ensuring that all colleagues are informed about
company matters in a timely and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
--- Contribute and implement the content strategy, planning,
development, coordination, and management of global internal
communications, partnering closely with Executive leadership,
Business Unit Presidents and regional leaders.
--- Creator and owner of the employee engagement mechanisms at Core
Lab. Consulting with the People, Organization and Culture Team to
identify best solutions and practices.
--- Develop and implement a communication strategy to ensure
critical information about company strategy, performance, culture,
change initiatives and action items are understood and shared with
all employees.
--- Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the success of executive,
internal and change communications.
--- Guide and counsel Leaders regarding executive and internal
communications strategies and tactics.
--- Draft and develop executive communication, as required, for
Executive leaders.
--- Actively participate in the preparation of external reports
such as Annual Report and Sustainability Report.
--- Support the People, Organization and Culture Team with employee
and manager facing communications, both written and verbal.
--- Create and deliver effective inclusive communication via
multiple channels that will provide a positive impact on
engagement, culture and productivity ensuring that all colleagues
are informed about company matters.
--- Serve as the primary point of contact in developing and
executing functional internal communication strategies.
--- Support change initiatives, including developing and executing
change communication strategies that drive employee adoption.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education (minimum required)
--- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications,
Public Relations, English or a related major in a public or
accredited private academic institution preferred.
Experience (minimum required)
--- 5-7 years of executive and internal communications with a
demonstrated ability to drive impactful employee communications
through various channels.
--- Experience of working in a similar role within a Global
Company
--- Experience working with oil and gas sector an advantage.
OTHER INFORMATION
Knowledge
--- Strong understanding of AP Style
--- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading
Skills
--- An excellent storyteller, able to bring a story to life for
target audiences.
--- Possess excellent writing skills to engage employees so that
they can resonate with the company's messages.
--- Proficient at networking, relationship building, partnering,
and coaching.
--- Demonstrated multi-format writing ability (i.e. internal and
external social media, long form thought leadership, talking
points, video scripts, etc.)
--- Experience of digital production, video editing and graphic
design is desirable
--- Exceptional ability to create simple, clear, consistent
communications from complex information targeting internal
audiences
Abilities
--- Passion for internal communications and employee engagement
--- Ability to quantify the impact of engagement against business
goals and objectives.
--- Proven track record of effectively supporting executive
leadership teams to develop powerful messages to employees that
support the company's vision/mission and values.
--- Serving as a trusted advisor, effectively consults with
executives and influences decisions regarding communications.
--- A natural collaborator who works effectively with employees at
all levels
