Applications Accepted From: All Persons InterestedClassification: SENIOR WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS COORDINATORDivision: Worker's CompensationReporting Location: 611 Walker St. Subject to change This is not a remote position Workdays & Hours: M-F, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Subject to change DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis position is responsible for tasks of a Worker's Compensation Designated Department Representative, for multiple departments, including the finalization of Salary Continuation and related payroll reviews. The position is also responsible for gathering information and identifying solutions to help resolve customer's Workers' Compensation concerns before forwarding to the assigned Workers' Compensation Coordinator along with other duties as described below:

  • Maintain business appropriate communication with the injured worker in a clear, concise and organized manner.
  • Maintain business appropriate communication with the injured worker's supervisor in a clear, concise and organized manner.
  • Provide customer focus to meet the customer's expectations and to establish trusting and respectful relationships.
  • Must positively adapt and maintain effectiveness during times of changing assignments and/or processes.
  • Monitor all open claims for assigned department(s), in accordance with established processes.
  • Conduct a variety of electronic record keeping activities, to include but not limited to; accurate entry of SAP workers' compensation changes, finalizing SAP workers' compensation entries, and reviewing workers' compensation related payroll results.
  • Partner with Workers' Compensation Coordinator to identify transitional duty assignments.
  • Facilitate cross department placement for transitional duty, when a position is not available in the home department.
  • Create and ensure delivery of a Bona Fide Offer of Employment (BFOE) letter to the injured worker.
  • Coordinate Home and/or transitional duty site visits with appropriate representatives
  • Partner with the injured worker's supervisor for submission of Medical Questionnaire to the injured worker.
  • Facilitate workers' compensation training, in assigned department(s), for new employees and post-incident.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
