forefront of progress. Responsibilities: Design cloud based and big
data solutions to support Aruba Supply Chain Business Intelligence
and Data Analytics needs.Build and guide our data growth, analysis,
and storage strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
including system architects, software developers, database
administrators, design analysts and information modeling experts to
determine project requirements and capabilities, and strategize
development and implementation timelines.Develop architectural
strategies for data modeling, design and implementation to meet
stated requirements for metadata management, operational data
stores and Extract Transform Load environments.Create and test
physical data models for a variety of business data, applications,
database structures and metadata tables to meet operational goals
for performance and efficiency on storage technologies like Hadoop,
Redshift, MongoDB, Vertica etcSupport database administrators,
network designers and IT personnel to create effective and secure
methods for data backup and recoveryReview existing data
architectures to determine overall effectiveness and compliance
with original objectives, develop comprehensive strategies for
improving or replacing underperforming areas and present these
plans to managers and executivesResearch new technologies, data
modeling methods and information management systems to determine
which ones should be incorporated into company data architectures,
and develop implementation timelines and milestonesManage product
enhancements, defect resolutions and major incident response
working across multi-functional teams. Manage escalations & war
rooms and work with senior IT management to drive quick resolution
to upstream system and data flow issues.Coach and develop junior
team members.This position will require working with teams around
the world with early morning & late evening work hours. Education
and Experience Required: Master degree in Data & Analytics, Data
Architecture, Information Technology or related fields or
equivalent experience..Minimum of 10 years of experience in Data &
Analytics, Data Architecture, IT, Supply Chain or related fields
Knowledge and Skills: Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing,
Database design, Solution designUnderstanding of data analysis,
business principles, and operationsSoftware architecture and
designData/ IT network design and implementationCreative problem
solving skills with strong communication Ability to clearly present
technical information to fellow technical professionals as well as
non-technical peersResearch and analytical skillsIntegrity and
