Description:
Key Responsibilities
Position Specific:
---The Systems Administrator is responsible for the overall
integrity and availability of the Technology infrastructure across
the region. This will include all WAN, LAN, storage systems and
servers.
---As the lead for the Operations team, you will be responsible for
providing an excellent level of 3rd line support to the group.
---You will be expected to act as a technical expert to support the
team in exploring and resolving complex Technology issues.
---You will work with suppliers and the wider team on
specifications, costings, installation, configuration, testing and
documentation of systems.
---You will be expected to plan and implement upgrades and develop
and lead the replacement of infrastructure at the end of its
life.
---Assist with establishing standards and best practices for
managing the internal infrastructure, including networking, access
rights, desktops, servers, and storage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
---5-10 years' experience of specification, installation, and
support of windows server systems.
---5-10 years' experience of TCP/IP based WANs and LANs, including
VLANs and routing.
---5-10 years' experience of large-scale virtual environments,
including VMware.
---5-10 years' experience of supporting large scale storage
systems.
---5 years' experience of Office 365.
---Azure / AWS - Cloud experience to include monitoring of
development and production systems, billing and transition of
services to the cloud.
---Must have VMWARE administration experience, preferably over 5
years.
---Experience of Veeam and Azure backups preferrable
---Experience of automation tools, SCCM, PowerShell, Windows
Auto-Pilot and application delivery.
---Experience of application-level firewalls - particularly Palo
Alto and their deployment in a cloud environment.
---Ability to prioritize and allocate resource/effort
appropriately.
---Possess good communication skills both written and oral.
Minimum Professional Qualifications and Requirements:
---Bachelor's degree in a technology related subject
---Desirable - A recognized IT service management certification
such as ITIL.
---Experienced in delivering a technology service from network
infrastructure through to end user devices and applications.
---Microsoft and VMware certification desirable
