Job Description Hours for this Shift are: 6am-2pm F/T The CMA is to administer oral and topical medications to residents under scope of practice. These tasks are performed as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with community policies.CMA Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Providing the required support to assist residentsTaking/recording vital signs, such as temperature blood-pressure as directed by medical or nursing staffMakes routine rounds on assigned residents in accordance with established procedures.Promptly communicates any significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor.Job Requirements:State certification as a nursing assistant is requiredState approved medication administration certification- Texas CMA permitComplete familiarity with duties of a certified nursing assistantHighly developed observation skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills neededAbility to read medication labels, etc. PI207367682
