Full time - GeoControl Systems, Inc - United States Posted On 01/11/2023 Job Information Government/Military City Houston State/Province Texas 77058 Job Description The Audio Systems Integration Engineer - Gateway System will: - Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Audio System of the Gateway Avionic Audio Sub-System, a critical sub [1] system of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon - Develop and support sub-project Audio Electroacoustics Testing of hardware and verification data packages to support requirements, design, verification/validation, and operations - Develop and support sub-project Audio VoIP or Packetized Audio Testing of hardware and verification data packages to support requirements, design, verification/validation and operations - Perform audio engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process - Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance - Participate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware - Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses - Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment - Perform other duties as required.
Requirements Qualifications - External Requisition Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised - Typically requires a HS diploma and 15 years of experience or BS in Engineering Technology or related field and 10 years of experience. - Advanced knowledge or class instruction within the audio domain - Experience or advance knowledge of Electroacoustics Testing - Experience or advanced knowledge of VoIP or Packetized Audio - Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings - Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision - Experience working in a team environment.
Requisition Preferences: - BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited school - 5-10 minimum years of relevant experience in engineering - Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork - Experience with NASA processes.
