Gas trading business in Houston. The Sr. Natural Gas Pipeline
Scheduler will support their traders and lead the charge in setting
up the natural gas desk, workflow, and building out operations and
processes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience of
Gas Pipeline/Storage scheduling experience, and operational
knowledge of US natural gas pipeline and storage networks. Health

Description
- Effectively manages and assists others with the overall supply
chain for natural gas and related products.
- Seamlessly resolves product supply issues as a result of
planned or unplanned events
- Leads development of solutions to complex problems
- Inventory management in the process of scheduling, and oversees
inventory targets for the team
- Ensures solutions are consistent with organization's
objectives
- Interfaces with industry counterparts and 3rd party carriers to
negotiate and coordinate supply and deliveries
- Authorizes the transfer of products
- Collaborates with trading on product supply needs
- Evaluates alternative logistics modes or routes for bulk
movements
- Optimizes the product supply chain to reduce logistics
costs
- Ensures that all scheduling processes take place in a correct
and timely manner
- Responsible for analyzing the demand and supply balance
- Monitors and provides analyses of finished product
inventory
- Familiar with NAESB contract set up and maintenance
- Willing to work closely with our legal, settlements, credit,
compliance, tax and finance groups
- Forecast, schedule, and monitor daily gas commodity
requirements to avoid any scheduling or balancing penalties within
various utilities and pipelines requirements
- Assist with gas supply transportation and storage planning.
Conduct the assumption of asset/capacity releases
- Identify, reconcile, report, and profitably manage energy
imbalances on pipelines and LDCs, including monthly imbalance
trading and cashouts.
- Assist in the reconciliation of energy volumes pertinent to
receipts and deliveries by suppliers, transporters, distributors,
and end-users.
- Provide timely feedback of operational conditions or situations
that present threats or opportunities
