Application Analyst who will be primarily focused on MyChart and
EpicCares Ambulatory module. Responsibilities will also possibly
extend to EpicCare mobile apps modules Haiku and Canto. This will
be classified as level II-IV depending on experience combined with
education and number of certifications. The employee will be
responsible for the ongoing design, build, testing, validation and
ongoing support of EpicCares MyChart and Ambulatory modules across
the health care system. This analyst will need to work with
operational stakeholders and IT technical staff to troubleshoot
Epic system issues and problems. The employee will be heavily
involved in ongoing application support i.e. break fixes, handle
enhancement/optimization requests, quarterly Epic upgrades.
Application Analyst will work with customers at all levels in the
organization to enhance their understanding of available tools to
enhance operational efficiencies. The Analyst will be also be cross
trained to become proficient in multiple applications, and have the
opportunity to branch into other areas and disciplines in Epic.
This position will primarily work remotely from home, but employees
will need to reside in or plan to relocate to the state of Texas
within three months of hire. This is a full-time role that is

Accountabilities:Maintains expertise and seeks additional knowledge
in the support and optimization of assigned Epic module(s)
including MyChart and Epic Ambulatory, and how they integrate with
other applications.Works cohesively with stakeholders to provide
system support including analysis, build, and testing of requested
changes, and analysis of new functionality of applications.Reviews,
builds, tests and implements new functionality via System Upgrades
and Special Updates.Works and manages multiple tasks
independently.Demonstrates timely, effective, and efficient
troubleshooting of software and workflow issues and defines
mitigation plan for resolution with minimal guidance.Develops and
documents internal procedures to use in conjunction with Epic
applications.Meets build deadlines as communicated by Application
Director.Develops and maintains system documentation to enable
ongoing support and maintenance of the Epic system.Assists
Application Director in developing build timelines and project
plans as communicated by leadership.Performs unit testing of
application configurations and build in appropriate non-production
environments, to identify defects and create resolution plans
accordingly.Participates in the creation of relevant and meaningful
test scripts for application, integrated, and end user acceptance
testing.Performs testing in a structured manner, follows any
defined test scripts, and documents results.Performs unit testing
of application configurations and build in appropriate
non-production environments, identifies issues and potential
solutions.Creates and maintains documentation for change management
including cost estimation, project documentation, communication,
and training plans.Collaborates across teams to ensure process
design, interface development, testing, and end user training are
performed to quality standards.Independently performs basic project
management activities for the development and implementation of
system changes and small to medium projects.Develops applications
specific reports; provides technical specification and assistance
to report developers as needed.Performs other duties as
assigned.Certification/Skills:--- Need to already by certified in
Epics MyChart and/or Ambulatory Modules.--- Superior customer
relation skills including leading and participating in group
sessions and reaching consensus.--- Familiarity with project
lifecycle and project management methodologies for software
management.--- Ability to plan and manage projects of various size;
their tasks, dependencies, team members, other resources, and
timeline.--- The analytical skills to collect information from
diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing
various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order
to solve problems or design relatively systems and programs that
cross department/divisional lines.--- Active Epic certification in
at least one Epic module or must receive Epic
certification/certification-level proficiency for applicable
module(s) if you are missing any required by the position. Must
receive a passing score (as defined by Epic), within two attempts,
on all required exams and projects (as defined by Epic) within 6
weeks after completion of training or within a pre-determined 6
week timeframe.Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or a
related discipline; equivalent years of related experience in
health care or information technology will be considered in lieu of
degree.Four (4) years of experience in a health care related field
required. One (1) year of experience supporting one or more Epic
modules preferred. Large scale health care systems planning and
implementation experience on application software products
preferred.Physical Requirements:Exerts up to 50 pounds of force
occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible
amount constantly to move objects.Security Sensitive:This job class
may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby
subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code - 51.215Residency
Requirement:Employees must permanently reside and work in the State
of Texas. Remote workers not in Texas will need to plan to relocate
