Job Description:

Structural Fitter
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Location: Northeast Houston, 77049
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine the layout and assembly of ductwork and sheet metal components
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using power tools such as shears, press brakes, and saws
- Assemble and install ductwork and sheet metal components according to specifications
- Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques to join metal components
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials and finished products
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure that finished products meet industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including FCAW and stick welding
- Knowledge of machining processes and the operation of power tools
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Employee may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
