Position Summary

The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform activities such as creating and modifying technical drawings for installation of subsea hardware using vessel-based equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

--- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of rigging arrangements for offshore crane lifts.
--- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of procedural task steps of offshore vessel-based operations to compile a complete storyboard in alignment with written procedures.
--- Prepare project equipment interface and rigging drawings.
--- Draft detailed Deck Layouts and Scope of Supplies
--- Draft or modify machine or structural designs to correct operating deficiencies.
--- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of structural, machine and subassemblies, including but not limited to specifications of moving parts and material properties.
--- Analyze engineering sketches, specifications and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
--- Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop layouts.
--- Carry out tasks as assigned by Leads, Engineers and the Engineering Manager. May take direction from more senior designers. Tasks generally focused on technical issues, but sometimes require administrative functions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

--- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school or equivalent education and experience.
--- Min 3 years' experience in drafting utilizing using AutoCAD.
--- Min 3 years' experience with generating engineering technical drawings.
--- Min 2-year experience in installation of subsea hardware using vessel-based equipment.
--- Min 2-year experience using weld symbols and their proper application.

DESIRED

--- Experience with the creation of offshore installation technical drawings
--- Experience with structural design drawings
--- Experience with designing for manufacturing/assembly
--- Experience with weights, surface area, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerancing, and proper hole location.
--- MS Office

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

--- Ability to write business correspondence.
--- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
--- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, trigonometry, and analytical geometry.
--- Complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD
--- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
--- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
