What you will do:

  • Review and process purchase requisitions for goods/services and ensures compliance with purchasing procedures and requisition requirements.
  • Submit RFQs (Request for Quotes) to suppliers/contractors that have MSA (Master Service Agreements) and/or T&C (Terms and Conditions) agreements.
  • Interact with Suppliers, Contractors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Consultants and other department personnel regarding requisition requirements, procurement procedures, approvals, order status and follow-up.
  • Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines / SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) requirements.
  • Build and maintain relations with suppliers and internal partners.
  • Release reviewed and approved purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Validate and complete change orders related to material or services issued as per the requirements and requisition of the customer.
  • Complete all required close out activities for materials and services and works with internal and external collaborators to validate closeout.
  • Direct spend to preferred suppliers to maintain cost effective rates for Enbridge.
  • Ensure assigned Supply Chain procedures and initiatives minimize risk and provide the highest overall total value to Enbridge.
  • Other duties (in addition to or in lieu of those described above), as assigned by people leader according to the needs of the location or Company.
  • This position is responsible for the accurate processing of purchasing requirements related to business partner purchasing demands for materials and services.
  • Oracle Cloud is used extensively to support these duties.

    Who you are:
    • Related university degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field with limited previous experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
    • Knowledge of procurement processes/policies such as SOX policies along with knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
      • Show a basic understanding of supply chain concepts including and understanding of the current market conditions, key suppliers, industry knowledge and materials or service being procured (basic materials to complex services.)
      • Demonstrate integrity, ethical behavior, trust, safety, and stewardship while also possessing a sense of importance and ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
      • Offer a general knowledge of legal terminology including standard contract terms and conditions.
        • Excellent written and verbal communicator who can influence partners/customers without authority and can be successful in a team environment.
        • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
        • Proficient with the MS Office Suite to include Excel, Power Point and Share Point in addition to having desktop application skills/knowledge.
          • Enrollment in a professional designation program in a related field e.g., Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP)/ Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent considered an asset.
          • Experience with Oracle Cloud preferred.

              Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

              Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

              Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

              Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
