Job Overview:
As an Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing
the day-to-day operations of your department or team. This role
involves managing individual employees, organizing workflows, and
ensuring that the team contributes effectively to overall business
goals. Successful candidates will possess strong leadership skills,
the ability to inspire confidence in their team members, and the
flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Additionally, the Operations Team Lead will perform duties related
to the disassembly, positioning, reassembly, testing and painting
of moderate to highly complex equipment utilizing a combination of
manual, pneumatic and hydraulic tools for fitting, adjusting, and
securing manoeuvres. Clean inspect and repair Natural gas engine
and compressor components in a shop environment, must be able to
adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and
regulations. Be capable of reading detailed prints, use and read
micrometres, dial callipers and dial indicators. Must be able to
work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
--- Monitor equipment and supplies levels to ensure availability
when needed.
--- Prioritize safety and ensure that all safety policies are
followed at all times.
--- Have strong mechanical aptitude with an Oil & Gas background as
well as the ability to use a wide range of mechanical tools and
test equipment.
--- Complete Risk Assessments prior to performing all operations
and light to heavy weight material movements by means of cranes and
lift trucks.
--- Complete all required business training and process
documentation, as required.
--- Be responsible for ensuring facility equipment and tooling is
accounted for, operating efficiently, and safely.
--- Identify, report, and mitigate problems or hazardous conditions
that occur during equipment disassembly, assembly, and test
set-up.
--- Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical
tooling & equipment.
--- Complete required documentation with accurate information for
routers, documents, and inspection reports
--- Communicate with staff regarding upcoming projects or
tasks.
--- Manage projects and ensure deadlines are met by coordinating
with other departments for necessary materials.
--- Review employee performance to ensure effective completion of
work.
--- Oversee employee work to maintain quality standards and timely
completion.
--- Analyze data from past operations to identify trends or
opportunities for improvement.
--- Supervise staff to ensure compliance with company policies and
procedures.
--- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental
protection protocols.
--- Take responsibility for the cleanliness, organization, and
operational excellence of the department's work area.
--- Participate in the development and successful execution of
departmental work standards.
--- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
--- Minimum of a High School Diploma.
--- At least 7 years of experience in services or manufacturing
relevant to the department.
--- Strong computer skills.
--- Experience in SAP is preferred.
--- Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day,
primarily standing and sitting, as required.
--- Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
--- Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time.
--- Work inside and outside, as required.
--- Possess or obtain forklift operator license and certification
to operate overhead cranes.
