POSITION TYPE: 12-month

START DATE: Immediately

COMPENSATION: $26.40 - $31.68 per hour

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    YES Prep needs a dynamic Coordinator, Assessments and Academica (Elementary) with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality.     To put it simply, you will play an integral role in leading the logistical functions and communication of the Home Office Assessment Team and larger Elementary Program Team in order to provide exemplary support to YES Prep campuses in administering assessments and executing the academic program.

    THE ROLE

    When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
    • Supporting team's accountability for deadlines and workflows for multiple projects led by Assessment and larger Elementary Program teams simultaneously to ensure goals are met;
    • Serving as a liaison within the district for management of assessment administration including logistics;
    • Attending weekly PK-12 Assessment team meetings and serving as a liaison between the district Assessment Elementary Academics teams;
    • Maintaining the online systems, including but not limited to the Texas Assessment Management System, Aware, and NWEA MAP, CLI Engage Prekindergarten CIRCLE and TX-KEA assessments;
    • Monitoring district testing completion during the testing windows to ensure 100% of all elementary campuses complete testing within designated time frame;
    • Providing elementary campuses with support related to blended learning and instructional technology as well as usage reports in collaboration with the Elementary Academics team;
    • Supporting the Elementary Academics team with the creation and execution of district formative assessments in Schoology and Aware;
    • Supporting Elementary Content Days and other district-wide professional development led by the Elementary Academics Team through professional development and coordinating projects related to facilitation;
    • Coordinating efforts between the Assessment & Elementary Academics Team and other teams such as Mission Support, Analytics, Teaching Excellence, campuses, etc.;
    • Providing training and ongoing support related to district assessment platforms (e.g. Aware, TIDE, etc.)
    • Additional duties as assigned. THE PERSON

      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
      • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or operations role
      • Specialty work experience for the role if a niche role

            • Classroom experience and/or experience working in a school environment
            • Fluency in Spanish
            • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once
            • Familiarity with elementary assessments and/or platforms (NWEA, Aware, Power BI) THE PERKS
              • Compensation - This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
                • Health and Supplemental Insurance - A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
                  • Retirement Plans - Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457b Retirement Plan.
                    • Paid Time Off - Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
