Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
A brief summary of the purpose this position must fulfill.
The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the BCBA with
daily job duties and responsibilities and assists in overseeing
clinical aspects of the Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior
Technician job role. Typically, the Program Assistant is pursing
experience and requirements to be eligible to sit for the board
exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Spectrum of Hope
provides free supervision and hands on training to individuals
seeking certification through the BACB. This role prepares Program
Assistants for the future role of Board Certified Behavior
Analyst.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily

Assists BCBA with developing and maintaining programming for skill
acquisition for clients, including preparing materials as
necessary.
Assists BCBA with developing and maintaining programming for
behavior reduction for clients.
Assists BCBA with parent training.
Assists BCBA with necessary reports, and documentation.
Assist with patient assessments and reassessments for assigned
caseload (VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, Socially Savvy, ABAS-3, Vineland)
under the supervision of the BCBA
Actively participates in the selection of new behavior
technicians.
Conducts formal evaluations on all team members a minimum of once
per month.
Assist in training and supervision of behavior technicians which
includes but is not limited to formal evaluations, feedback and
disciplinary actions.
Reports issues with team members to COM in a timely manner.
Conducts and assists in team meetings as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in psychology or
related field and 1 year of RBT experience. However, a combination
of experience and/or education will be taken into
consideration.
Must be in Master's Program in ABA or started certification
sequence for BCBA
Experience as a RBT preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have intermediate working knowledge of the full Microsoft
Office Suite, HRIS systems, and EMR system.
Demonstrated time management abilities.
Must take initiative to make improvements where needed and provide
feedback to leadership regarding the clinic operations.
Must have impeccable communication skills and be able to
communicate efficiently with employees at all levels of the
organization as well as parents and clients.
SUPERVISION
Position functions semi-autonomously. BCBA will provide ongoing
supervision in order to accrue fieldwork supervision hours.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Must hold current RBT certification and be in good standing with
BACB.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical
documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed
business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors
and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups
across the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables
through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and
analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and
detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires the ability to work eight and a half (8.5) hours without
scheduled breaks.
Ability to respond quickly from any position (such as sitting on
the floor, squatting or bending) as well as stand for extended
periods of time. There are additional physical requirements of
