JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for advancing the
functionality and operational efficiency of PeopleSoft
HCM--application. This entails analyzing and developing PeopleSoft
HCM--modules (Benefits, Payroll and HR). The primary focus of this
position is to provide deep technical expertise in PeopleSoft
HCM--application development, maintenance and production support.
The incumbent will be part of a team responsible for defining,
developing, testing, analyzing and maintaining PeopleSoft
HCM--application and future modules.---- The Senior Application
Analyst is charged with ensuring the services that he/she provides
contribute to the successful accomplishment of the primary mission
of the department. The Senior Application Analyst reports directly
to the Manager, while also receiving leadership from the Lead
Application Analyst. The Senior Application Analyst applies skills
in line with Houston Methodist values and goals, to assure the
efficient, effective and consistent delivery of high quality
services.----

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

PEOPLE - 20 %
1. Works closely with functional and technical resources; initiates
and maintains positive relationships with key customers and
co-workers.
2. Participates in interviewing process for hiring potential team
members and providing feedback to manager.
3. Demonstrates leadership and management of assigned projects;
demonstrates effective assignment delegation and evaluation of
team--s work effort.
4. Provides training and mentoring for junior team members through
formal and informal methods; serves as a role model for analysts on
team and participates in the development and growth opportunities
for team members.
5. Collaborates in team environment and independently with vendors,
business partners and IT teams on projects, support, application
development and standardization.
SERVICE - 30 %
1. Supports large, complex applications with technical experience
in systems analysis, design, building, testing, and
implementation.
2. Partners with customers and team members to translate business
requirements into viable solutions, identifying potential benefits,
and re-engineering workflow/processes to achieve anticipated
benefits; coordinates discovery, planning, status updates, and/or
follow up sessions with key customers.
3. Participates in managing and resolving major system outages,
disaster management and change control.
QUALITY/SAFETY - 30 %
1. Implements high quality, scalable and extendable solutions using
PeopleSoft and other applications while adhering to established
best practices.
2. Assists Technical Lead in providing oversight for work assigned
to team members and evaluates effectiveness of their work
product.
FINANCE - 10 %
1. Identifies solutions to optimize performance of existing systems
and gains customer consensus on instituting changes; institutes
changes when approved; supports and evaluates change management
efforts on assigned solutions.
2. Coordinates and provides problem resolution, technical analyses,
costs and resource estimates, work plans, workflow documentation,
and progress reports on assigned projects.
GROWTH/INNOVATION - 10 %
1. Accountable for fostering an environment that encourages
innovation, continuous improvement and growth.
2. Accountable for consistency as changes in process, tools, and
overall practice are developed, ensuring a focus on continued
integration and overall system benefit.--
3. Provides innovative support for custom Information Technology
needs throughout organization.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor--s degree in Computer Science or a related field
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
o Minimum of 7 years of relevant and progressive professional
experience, of which minimum 5 years of-- experience with multiple
PeopleSoft development tools including Application Engine,
Integration Broker, PeopleCode, SQRs, Component Interface, Workflow
and Process Scheduler
o Experience with PeopleTools 8.5x and higher.
o Experience with SQL, Oracle 11g, Toad, Integration Broker, XML
Publisher.
o Experience with leading large scale upgrades of PeopleSoft.
o Expertise and experience with complex technical solutions.
o Experience and solid understanding of software development
lifecycle

o Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely
perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills,

o Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the
English language necessary to perform the essential functions of
this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or
employee safety or security.
o Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians,
family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a

principles.
o Demonstrates deep technical expertise in PeopleSoft HCM/FMS
application development, maintenance and production support.
o Ability to independently learn new modules of PeopleSoft.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
o Proficient with MS Office Suite.
o Excellent problem analysis and trouble-shooting skills.
