Job Description:

The Clinic Site Supervisor provides routine and more advanced nursing within their privileging and scope in an ambulatory setting. The position supports clinic staff to ensure an efficient workflow and provide quality healthcare in a manner that improves the patient experience. Assists in the development of MAs and nurses to achieve excellence in the primary care clinic. Serves as liaison between medical support staff, patient services staff, and administration. Delivers services under the principles of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and principles with a focus on integration across medical, behavioral health, dental, and specialty service lines. Job Duties and Responsibilities The primary focus is to conduct and lead team huddles, walk-throughs, and all patient calls and messages. The position supports staff members in creating an efficient workflow while providing quality healthcare in a manner that ensures the patient a positive experience. Serves as liaison between medical support staff, patient services staff, and administration. Delivers services under the principles of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and ensures operations are performed through this model. Ensures medical support systems (inventory, immunizations, the environment of care, etc.) are fully functional and compliant. Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement, PCMH, Environment of Care, and QC and Outcome committees. May be required to provide general nursing duties in order to facilitate clinic operations: patient/family/community care coordination, population management, medication reconciliation, and education to provide comprehensive patient-centered care. SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: -- Directly supervises employees within the Medical Department. -- Indirectly supervises employees within the facilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. -- Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: -- Licensed Vocation Nurse or Registered Nurse Degree required -- At least 3-5 years experience in a healthcare setting and preferably in primary health care setting. -- Experience with working in clinical research protocols and practices. Additional Requirements: -- Effective language, listening, and verbal presentation skills in order to communicate. -- Ability to lead, plan, and manage change. -- Ability to utilize technology (phone, internet, EMR) to conduct patient visits and complete day-to-day tasks. -- Ability to resolve complex issues. -- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. -- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. -- Understanding of scientific procedures and laboratory equipment Job Type: Full-time Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Bonus/Commission: No
