Job Description Established Commercial Stone and Tile Contractor is seeking a Shop Production Manager for its Houston, TX location. Successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a fabrication shop foreman or manager. Familiarity with fabrication methods and techniques as well as natural stone, quartz and porcelain slab products is a must. Good written and verbal communication skills are required. Computer literacy and familiarity with Autocad a plus. The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits with room for advancement. Job Requirements Include: - Minimum 5 years experience as a Shop Manager or Foreman. -Good Organizational skills -Good Communication Skills -Excellent people management skills -Ability to use Microsoft Office Software -Natural Stone, Quartz and Porcelain slab product knowledge. - Knowledge of fabrication techniques and methods. - Knowledge of operating fabrication equipment and tools. - Ability to produce fabrication shop tickets and knowledge of field measurement techniques. Job Duties include: - Manage day to day operation of shop. - Administer fabrication quality control program. - Issue and manage weekly fabrication schedule. - Communicate and coordinate with project managers, field superintendents and delivery department to insure smooth and timely fabrication and delivery of finished products. - Oversee the organization of the shop and slab yard. - produce shop tickets and or templates if needed.
