Job Description Job Title: Pipeline Compliance Systems Data Analyst Type: Contract Location: Houston, TX The focus for the Pipeline Compliance Systems Data Analyst will be on supporting the structure capturing and editing process in conjunction with assisting the Pipeline Compliance Systems team with various requests in both Natural Gas and Liquids assets. Roles & Responsibilities Primary Focus: Support the structure capturing and editing process. o Utilize imagery to identify and add missing structure outlines to the structure database. o Examine existing structures to ensure that it is commensurate with structure type, occupancy, and status. o Research data about the structures to best understand their purpose and usage. o Work with the subject matter expert and field personnel to gain clarity and understanding of what is represented in the database. Support Focus: o 2022 & 2023 Class Study effort: MAOP Confirmation and Revision Analysis per 192 Regulations, Track Class changes o Compiling of annual PHMSA Report and Audit data work. o Handling data requests from other groups including Risk, Management, Operations, Engineering, Codes & Standards, etc. o Writing Processes & Procedures for Class, HCA, Structure collection, MAOP confirmation etc. o Understanding HCA processes for Natural Gas and Liquids assets and help with annual cycles. Requirements Bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant pipeline experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Familiarity with 49 CFR 192 and 195 Regulations and core calculations for Pipeline Compliance including Class/HCA Determination. Strong analytical skills and logical thought process, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data issues and problems. Dedication, thoroughness, and patience when performing daily tasks. Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to learn new and changing technologies. Ability to work on multiple projects at once keeping prioritization in mind. Excellent oral & written communication skills with problem solving & teamwork ability. Aptitude to work successfully from a remote location with other team members. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of employees. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required. Experience with ESRI Tools - ArcGIS 9.3 or above. Desired skill sets include ArcCatalog, data analysis, basics of ArcToolBox, Geodatabase, and shapefile manipulation Will consider training the right candidate with minimal working knowledge of the above software.
