Role Summary:
The Project Controls Analyst II is responsible for managing risk,
schedule and cost control of all assigned projects within the
Engineering and Construction Services (E&CS) group. The analyst
is responsible to support the feasibility team and/or Project
Manager in development of a cost estimate, risk profile, and
schedule at the appropriate level for the project. Once a project
is active, the Project Controls Analyst will continue to track
progress against the baseline schedule, update the schedule or
manage a contract scheduler, track project cost against the
baseline budget or manage a contract cost controls analyst and
generate monthly reports. The Analyst should work with the Project
Manager to anticipate issues and suggest actions to stay on
schedule and budget. In addition, the Analyst may be required to
develop and analyze risk analysis on project estimates/schedules,
and other duties as mentioned but not limited to below.
Train/onboard PMs for project controls functions including cost
tracking, requisitions, invoicing
Supervise contract employees, onboard
Manage a cost and/or schedule portfolio for a program or programs
of projects
Manage risk profile for several projects
Facilitate readiness review/TRC meetings
Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:
Position Requirements:
Education: Preferred BS Degree in Accounting or Engineering. Other
related degrees might be considered with applicable experience.
Experience: 5 - 10 years of experience in projects, 3+ years in
project controls
Special skills: proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
required, P6 preferred.
Travel Requirements: up to 20% travel.
Certificates & Licenses:
PMP, risk certification, schedule management certification,
contract certification a plus
Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities:
Ability to work on the project site
Mastery of communication with all levels of the organization
including: management, engineering professionals, plant operators,
maintenance personnel, suppliers, and contractors using the English
language
Skillful in Microsoft Office suite of software, including fluency
with Microsoft Excel as a tracking and reporting tool
Essential Functions:
This position requires the ability to safely and successfully
perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other
federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative
and or/quantitative productivity standards.
This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual
attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
This person must meet medical criteria established by OSHA for
emergency response.
