the Position: Solar Technician The Solar Technician's primary
responsibility is to support Operations and Maintenance activities
by quickly responding to solar system performance maintenance,
ensuring optimally performing solar systems, and providing
excellent customer service to our customers. As a Solar Technician,
you will: Utilize knowledge, skills, and electrical testing
equipment to evaluate systems accurately for maintenance, warranty
repairs, design, and other purposes; diagnose and repair solar and
storage systems and electrical components Provide training to
service staff on system operation such as how to identify, resolve,
and repair issues etc. Complete quality assurance inspections,
documents corrective actions, and ensures completion of corrective
items within defined timelines Submit service reports immediately
following work order completion Identify solutions to resolve
technical design problems, including electrical systems used during
construction; collaborates closely with manufacturers and
engineering team Develop and uses knowledge of all roof types and
the appropriate flashings and mounts to use on those roofs Manage
vehicle material stock and equipment inventory Maintain compliance
with all Sunnova Safety policies and practices Provide training to
customers about service process, system usage, system operation,
performance, and maintenance Manage and resolve customer
maintenance, service tasks and issues in a timely manner Document
progress and other key communications to customers and relevant
Sunnova employees using appropriate software Develop positive and
professional relationships with dealers, service-only providers,
and channel partners within an assigned service area Qualified
Candidates Must Have: HS Diploma or GED Ability to travel
(overnight) 25%+ of the time (Per Diem provided) 1+ years
electrical experience Experience with Generac products Current,
valid Driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English Experience
reading, interpreting blueprints/schematics/wiring diagrams Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal Computer skills to
include MS Office Suite Ability to meet physical requirements of
the job to include: Lift/carry up to 50lbs repeatedlySit, stand,
walk and drive for up to 8 hours at a timeReach, kneel, push, pull,
squat, crawl, bend, twist, climbRooftop workWork in various weather
