ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and hydraulic systems.* Construct product by assembling circuits and components.* Pressure testing of all hydraulic products.* Assist with development and build of hydraulic systems.* Install, commission, and maintain products during their full life cycle, including aftermarket services and troubleshoot of hydraulics and electric units.* Able produce operating manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.* Maintain supplies inventory by performing periodic inventory counts, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of incoming supplies against orders placed.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* Hydraulic system design, part selection, procurement, manufacturing, and testing.* Background in hydraulics.* Fault finding and repair of control systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.* Electrical interface design including cable schedules, termination details, and cable layout diagrams.* Firm understanding of design and documentation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.* Procure materials for and build a range of hydraulic and electric controls systems both on land and offshore.* Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical engineering drawings.* Ability to work on large multi-disciplined projects.* Computer literate; able to use major IT applications.* Able to diagnose and solve problems from non-technical descriptions of field operations.* Sound methodical approach to issues and problem-solving.* Experience working with PLC and CCTV equipment for hazardous area use a plus* Ability to weld and fabricate a plus* Must maintain a safe driving record as required by company policy* Able to think, communicate, and present information in both verbal and written formats* Must have strong mechanical abilities* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:* High School Diploma* Must be able to read, write, and speak in English* Basic math skills required* PLC systems experience a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
