Job Description:
Ideal candidate will have experience performing inspections of
fire safety features such as fire-rated doors, fire barrier walls,
trash chutes, exit signs, etc. and experience maintaining
regulatory compliance documentation such as inspection/testing
reports for The Joint Commission, CMS, etc.MISSION STATEMENTThe

public.SUMMARYRepair and maintain building and utility equipment,
respond to customer calls, provide support to emergencies, subject
matter expert, provide leadership and critical thinking skills.JOB
SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESMaintain, Repair, Troubleshoot - Subject
Matter ExpertLead or under limited supervision performs
repairs,troubleshooting, routes and preventative maintenanceon
various equipment, buildings, and utility systemsusing one or more
craft trade skills. Maintains recordsof materials, jobs, and other
pertinent information.Responds to and triages critical equipment
alarms andmakes repairs as necessary. Repair and maintainutility
systems equipment, such as, pumps, valves,steam systems, vacuum
pumps, compressors, watersofteners and heat exchangers. Notify
managementof all recognized equipment repairs. Clean andmaintain
equipment and work areas. Engage incollaborative efforts by team
members from allcraft shops to resolve problems and
repair/upgradedeficiencies in the utility systems. Communicatewith
team members to identify needs forimprovement. Water quality
analysis and/orrecording of data on: MD Anderson main City
ofHouston water surge tanks Chlorine testing at EH&Sdesignated
locations. Hardness sampling of watersofteners. RO/DI sampling of
all soft-water systems.Domestic hot water systems. A/C chilled
water andheating hot water closed-loop systems. All completedwork
meets professional standards of cleanliness,maintenance and safety
in accordance with workinstructions Coordinates regulatory
inspections byexternal agencies. Coordinates work. May
ordermaterials and maintain inventory. Participates in
thedevelopment of the "Owners Design Guidelines"project design
phases and review processes.Inspects contracted work to ensure
repairs andinstallations are compliant. Functions as a pointof
contact for vendors. Prepares and submits reports.Participates in
process improvement initiatives.May precept staff. Investigates
outages.Interprets and works from instructions, blueprints,sketches
and diagrams in the installation of utilitysystems.Respond to
customer callsRespond to customer calls and provide
customerservices. Communicate on an ongoing basis withcustomers and
clients to determine currentstatus of deliverables and to learn
about customer needs.Provide complete information to accurately
documentcorrective action, labor hours, and materials usedon work
orders. Timely communication to supervisorof any other issues
encountered during theperformance of work.Emergency
responsesEmergency responses for facilities including code red
alarms.Other duties as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing,
electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).It is the
