Job Description:

Kforce's client in the energy industry located in Houston, TX is searching for a Business Analyst who will plan, control and execute a project or set of related projects to meet identified business needs and deliver business value. This role leads small-to-medium projects of moderate complexity. Typical project size: fewer than 10 FTE. The Business Analyst participates as a member of a project team for larger and more complex projects. This person quickly earns the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders. The Business Analyst resolves conflict and delivers tough messages with grace, and continually updates relevant business stakeholders of project status.

Responsibilities:

• POC and MVP to gather requirements, map process flows, and support creation of pdf and orf deliverables
  
• Works with POs and delivery team to prioritize backlog considering delivery time and business value
  
• Engages with business representatives and subject matter experts to gather and document business requirements to a sufficient level of detail, and later to obtain feedback on deliverables
  
• Works with the PO, stakeholders, and various deployment and support staff to ensure that the solution meets the needs of the business and users
  
• Responds to problems/issues/requests raised by the user community and tracks their resolution
  
• Generates PBIs
  
• Confirms technical feasibility of functional design
  
• Translates functional requirements to technical specifications, and develops detailed requirements for deliverables
  
• Educates team on business context and logic
  
• Participates in design and execution of testing
  
• Translation and delivery of training materials
  
• Documentation of the designs and solutions in a clear and unambiguous manner
  
• Helps develop software delivery metrics
