Technician to join their team in Houston, TX. WHO

character, and a great attitude, we would love for you to be a part of our
team!We are
looking for individuals who are interested in full-time. Our technicians
typically work a four-day week, with shifts being 11 hours including a 1-hour
lunch break. We are currently looking for people who can work our 7:45 am to
7:00 pm shift. While the clinic is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, you must be
available to work some weekend and holiday shifts to care for hospitalized or
boarding patients (typically this is 1 weekend per month).WHAT

with commonly performed lab procedures such as cbc, chemistries,
urinalysis, cytology's, etc.Ability
to take accurate radiographsAccurately
and professionally record patient medical information
EDUCATION/LICENSURE
REQUIREMENT
A
high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years working in a veterinary
clinic is requiredLicensed
Veterinary Technicians are strongly preferredPrevious On-The-Job Training desirable
PERSONAL
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum
of 18 years old.Genuinely
enjoys working with animals and can deal with them even when they are
stressed, ill or in pain.Can
stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.Is
well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature.Is
experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of
hospital team members.Have
excellent client communication skills.Physical
Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by
other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.) Walks or stands
for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.Working
conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal
feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
