Intuitive Machines provides lunar surface access, lunar orbit delivery, and communications equipment at lunar distances, -founded in 2013, Houston 77058, -we are a leading space exploration, infrastructure, and services company that designs, manufactures, assembles & tests various operating devices for Nasa, Artemis, Axiom and with Jacobs Engineering.Intuitive Machines is seeking to HIRE a -Mid-Level Thermal Analyst -to join our team.U.S citizenship required.This position will support our partner AXIOM in the -development of Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) equipment. - -The applicant will be located on-site at AXIOM in Houston, TX.The Mechanical Engineer will -work in a cross-functional team on the design, development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground support hardware, such as astronaut crew aids and tools and fluid systems.Responsibilities--- Under the mentorship of a senior engineer:--- -Support the design and development of EVA tools;--- Evaluate customer ConOps/Technical Specifications and derive boundary conditions for thermal models.--- -Creating system level thermal models of assemblies and detailed thermal models of subassemblies and individual parts.--- Participate to design reviews and effectively present solutions.--- Perform steady state and transient thermal analyses to predict temperatures, heat flows, and heat sinking requirements--- Working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers to achieve successful design and fabrication of products--- Ability to include manufacturability and safety into design solutions.--- -Experience with space EVA tools desired but not requiredA candidate for this position will be encouraged to take on as much responsibility as practical and will be expected to play a role in the entire cradle-to-grave product development process, including requirements development, conceptualization, analysis, supplier relationships, procurement and fabrication management, procedure development, hands-on assembly and testing, and on-console mission operations support.Required Education/Experience/Skills--- -B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline and minimum of 3 years of experience in thermal analysis or related discipline; or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience.--- -Proficiency with Thermal Desktop.--- Familiarity with commonly used space and commercial specifications for materials and processes.--- Experience with Microsoft Office suite Preferences--- -Experience with the generation of work orders, assembly procedures and test plans.--- Familiarity with standard practices for assembly and environmental testing of space flight hardware as well as the tooling and ground support equipment associated with these tests.Essential Requirements--- Effective verbal and written communication--- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment--- Excellent organizational skills--- Creative approach to problem solving--- -Embraces Intuitive Machines core values: Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence--- Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedules--- Teamwork - Eager and able to work in a collaborative and cross-disciplinary fashion in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environmentIntuitive Machines is an Equal Opportunity employer.
