Job Description:

Purpose As a passionate energy markets analyst, you will play a central role in our LPG/NGLs service, confidently making market calls on these rapidly changing markets and their interplay with downstream sectors. This role will require previous exposure to the abovementioned markets and its main demand sectors and supply basin dynamics. These responsibilities will span the full cycle of our work, from monitoring market developments, writing concise analysis, presenting to clients, and helping upkeep supply/demand/margins data models. This position will require flexibility and the drive to go beyond the core hours when needed, ensuring we all fulfil our goals. All team members are encouraged to build their professional reputation within the industry and are supported by some of the most well-regarded energy sector commentators. You must be able to work independently, as well as be capable of planning and prioritising to achieve success.   • Producing relevant and insightful reports and analyses on market movements, to highlight challenges and opportunities for traders, etc.
  • Predicting and commenting on market movements, formally through our publications and on an ad-hoc basis with our clients.
  • Keeping updated on any and all latest developments global NGLs/LPG/naphtha/petrochemicals industry and subsequent impacts on fundamentals and pricing.
  • Presenting our views to clients and media.
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external networks. Requirements
    • 1-5 years' experience in covering/analysing NGLs/LPG/naphtha/petrochemicals markets.
    • Strong analytical skills. Exposure to global NGLs/LPG demand and consequent production balances as well as trade flow dynamics is strongly preferred.
    • Experienced and dynamic presentation skills to large and small groups.
    • A strong eye for detail and drive to ensure content published is client-ready and follows the company's strong ethos.
    • The ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with others, including colleagues in different time zones, to deliver timely analysis will be critical.
    • Existing relationships with a wide set of participants in the industry including trading houses, producers, midstream companies and petrochemical firms is preferred
    • Experience running supply and demand balances and using these to analyse future pricing trends.
    • Strong MS Excel skills. Desirable skills
