Position Summary

our Production Control department! As an integral part of our

execution of performing material take-offs, organizing and
expediting work flow for maximum efficiency, and coordinating and
controling flow of materials, parts, assemblies, and labor hours
through the manufacturing process.

Someone in this role would typically have a high school diploma and
3 years of related experience.
**This role will require some overtime.**
Duties & Responsibilities
Some of your major responsibilities will include:
--- Ensuring that all Production schedules will be met.
--- Coordinating the manufacturing and assembly flow and report the
status of same to the Operations Services Manager, the Production
Control Planner/Scheduler, other Expeditors, and the Customer, as
required.
--- Maintaining an accurate, current computerized database of the
movement of all parts through the manufacturing process from
initial to final stages. Ensuring that all parts are tracked in
such a manner that exact status and location can be easily
ascertained.
--- Verifying current inventory of materials and requisition all
materials and parts required to manufacture and/or assemble
finished product.
--- Monitoring daily time charges to the job in order to assure
accurate accounting of labor hours, accurate estimated time to
complete (ETC), and the reliability of the computerized
scheduling.
--- Coordinating and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and
assemblies through the manufacturing process.
--- Organizing and arranging all production documentation required
to process manufactured items.
--- Acting as a liaison between Manufacturing, Quality, and
Engineering to resolve all discrepancies and problems during the
manufacturing process.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
--- High school degree and 2+ years of experience in scheduling,
planning, and/or expediting in a machine shop environment; or an
equivalent combination of education and experience
--- Experience reading blueprints
PREFERRED
--- 5-10+ years of experience in scheduling, planning, and
expediting (production control) in a machine shop environment
--- Familiarity with government (NASA, DoD) aerospace
manufacturing
