  • Responsible for the preparation of outline specifications, which describe the scope of work included in the estimate
  • Ensure accurate quantities of materials needed and the pricing of the materials
  • Complete estimates in a timely fashion to allow adequate review by superiors
  • Be cognizant of changes in the scope of work and account for any changes that may affect the estimate
  • Read, understand, and communicate Request for Proposals, drawings, and specifications requirements to ensure complete scope coverage
  • Participate in coordination meetings with a team of engineers, designers, constructors, and executives through the technical proposal / bidding process including internal reviews
  • Perform quantity take offs utilizing computer-based applicationsExperience:
    • 3+ years experience estimating for commercial projects
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience leading estimates
    • Strong MS Excel skills
