Job Description:

System One is currently seeking an Electrical Designer for an industry-leading client in the Houston, TX area. Job Description: Skills/Experience: -Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -

• Prepare design documents using AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation products
• Perform 3D modeling utilizing Plant 3D
• Prepare electrical construction drawings for various maintenance and capital projects in heavy industrial processing facilities. based on sketches or concepts generated by senior designers or project engineers.
• Interface with Project Engineering
• Ability to work in the field
• Ability to perform field surveying of existing conditions
• Ability to communicate and work on multiple multi-discipline projects with other Designers and Engineers to support our clients projects and schedules Required Skills: -Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. -
  • 5 years of related electrical design experience
  • Specialized courses or certification in drafting, design and engineering practices
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3d; Navisworks; ReCAP and Revit
  • Experience with heavy industrial equipment and/or heavy industrial facilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with other disciplines to ensure overall design accuracy
  • Must excel in working in a team environment
  • Extremely self-motivated with high attention to detail Desired Skills: Preferred Qualifications
    • Associate degree with an emphasis in industrial drafting/design
    • Proficiency with MicroStation desirable but not required Degree Requirements:
