Altamira Material Solutions , an industry leader in PTFE and
polymer manufacturing located in North Houston is seeking an
experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Tech to join our team. No
phone calls or recruiters please Job Description: The Manufacturing
Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of the
manufacturing facilities. The primary responsibilities are to
perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain
the buildings ,machinery and equipment . Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with EH&S and interdepartmentally to constantly
implement Safety Improvement Solutions throughout the
facility.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on buildings,
production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, identify potential
issues, and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to
diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Carry out repairs and adjustments on machines, including
replacing faulty parts, calibrating instruments, and restoring
functionality.
- Collaborate with production operators and other team members to
address equipment-related concerns and provide technical
support.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including
work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory
management.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for the
procurement of spare parts and specialized equipment.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging
technologies related to manufacturing maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while
performing maintenance tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying
opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and
performance.
- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required ; technical
certification or relevant vocational training is highly
desirable,
- Five plus years of proven experience as a Maintenance
Technician in a manufacturing environment highly desired.
- Experience with TPM Programs highly desired
- Journeyman or Maintenance Electrician license a plus.
- Basic project/tasks management skills
- Cost conscious with a buy vs. repair analysis mindset
- Ability to demonstrate a strong knowledge of mechanical,
electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals,
schematics, and diagrams.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for repairs and
adjustments.
- Basic computer skills required. Familiarity with computerized
maintenance management systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with
excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with
colleagues and provide clear instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., climb, bend, stand, walk repetitively
throughout the day
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime, as
