Altamira Material Solutions is seeking an electrician with experience working in a manufacturing environment. no phone calls or recruiters please.JOB DUTIES: --- Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools, Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.--- Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.--- Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.--- Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. --- Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.--- Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.--- Prepares sketches or follows blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.--- Places conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pulls insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.--- Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:--- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution and current electrician's license required.--- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing facilityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
