Job Summary

The Procurement Analyst will support Procurement department with the creation and management of databases, information and reporting that us related but not limited to second analysis, inventory analysis. Demand analysis, vendor and market intelligence and e-category management. This position will also support the negotiations team in RFP analysis, comparative bid analysis and total cost model analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform spend analysis and build reports, dashboards or KPls from raw data to support management to identify opportunities
  • Perform quantitative analysis to support functional decision making and developing effective category strategies in collaboration with negotiations team and stakeholders i.e. RFP analysis, spend analysis, cost modelling, strategy development etc
  • Perform spend analytics to identify savings opportunities, optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), eliminate waste, etc
  • Support negotiators with RFP analysis, comparative bid analysis, spend analysis or cost modelling
  • Monitor costs, savings and supplier KPI's
  • Develop and implement new databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Ensure data integrity in sourcing tools
  • Develop and maintain classification and categorization of suppliers and pricing
  • Maintain effective communication with vendors to obtain useful data
  • Analyze industry trends and market competitions to develop category market intelligence
  • Leverage market research in sourcing decisions and risk management; disseminate market intelligence
  • Support Negotiations team in sound contract management to ensure contract compliance
  • Focus on process improvement and efficiency gains through standardization and automation
  • Other duties as assigned


    Qualifications

    • Preferably experience in materials / spare parts / MRO management related to equipment to operating in cement plants, aggregates plants and ready-mix plants
    • Experience into understand technical specifications related to spare parts / materials
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Operations, Business, Engineering disciplines or technical mechanical knowledge
    • Preferably at least 1-3 years of experience in supply chain or procurement/sourcing.
    • Experience with Power BI is a big plus
    • Experience with building queries in any platform a big plus such as Power BI, Power Query, MS Access, SQL server or any other.
    • Experience with ERP system (SAP) a big plus.


      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      Demonstrable strong Excel skills: Pivot tables, lookup functions, IF functions, etc
      Familiarity with ERP systems
      Ability to independently identify, build, plan and present recommendations
      High attention to detail
      Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business teams and functions
      Independent thinker with entrepreneurial mentality, with a focus on continuous improvement
      Experience with Microsoft Office applications besides those already indicated

      • Capable of working in an open concept office environment

        Physical Requirements

        • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
        • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
        • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and, on occasion, may visit industrial plant locations
