Patient Care Technician (Nursing Assistant) position in Critical Care Unit (Day / Evening/36 hour work week)The Critical Care Unit is a 55-bed unit that provides patient focused care through a multidisciplinary team approach. Quality and patient outcomes are the heat of our practice.Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of recent experience working as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources. Prefer one year of recent experience working in direct patient care.The Patient Care Technician provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care. Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
