Sales Analyst to join its Group Benefits Sales team. The Sales
Analyst will manage inventory pipeline, establish and maintain
relationships with internal and external business partners, and
respond to broker inquiries with the objective of selling new
business, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability are
achieved.You Will:
- Negotiate with underwriters, collaborate with Sales
Representatives and other team members, and requote proposals as
needed to help generate sales
- Apply Guardian and competitor information and utilize all sales
tools to Rate, Re-Rate, Quote, and Requote competitive proposals
based upon specifications in Requests for Proposals (RFPs),
instructions from Sales Representatives, and discussions /
negotiations with all relevant parties
- Make recommendations regarding benefit / rate options based on
analysis of RFP and assessment of customer's buying triggers
through consultative interactions with Sales Representatives and
customers
- Finalize "sold" quote and maintain CPS/Salesforce data
according to Standard Operating Procedures
- In collaboration with Sales Representatives, meet with
Underwriting to negotiate rates, exceptions, and approvals
- Discuss RFP, plan design options, and multi-line options with
producers and their assistants
- Build strong relationships with underwriting, brokers, and
their staff to ensure that customer needs are met while maintaining
profitability and acceptable risk
- Proactively contact Producers / Assistants to follow up on
quotes to gauge competitiveness and/or gather post-mortem data
- In collaboration with Sales Representatives, maintain timely
updates to Guardian Rating Excellence Guidelines (GREG)
- Provide backup support for Sales Support colleagues as
neededReporting Relationship: This position reports to the Team
Leader, Core Market Sales Support.You Have:

- Computer proficiency in Outlook, Salesforce, MS Access, Excel,
Word, CPS, and Siebel Toolkit
- Ability to represent Guardian in a professional manner
- Solid knowledge of group insurance, products, and services
- Awareness of underwriting principles and practices
- Sales experience preferredEducation & Experience:At least one
year of group insurance experience preferred4-year college degree
preferredDemonstrated success in servicing customers (producers,
assistants, and planholders)Solid knowledge of group insurance,

for this position is Houston, TX, with a work arrangement of Work
from Home. We are open to candidates in other locations, including
Dallas, TX; Oklahoma, and Arizona.Covid - 19 vaccinations are
