From menu planning, management transitions, lowering daily food cost or preparing for upcoming catering events, our knowledgeable sales team is with your units every step of the way. Our team has a combined 100+ years in the seafood industry and has a vast knowledge of this industry s every facet.Houston Seafood Company is a multinational supply chain management company specializing in seafood.Many of our customers can be found on the Fortune 500 list, and we service a variety of regional, national, and international companies. We are looking for forward-thinking, qualified, and motivated individuals specializing in customer support and business development to join our team.If you have at least 5 years of experience in the seafood industry, or have experience working with major retailers, broadline distributors, and/or multi-unit end user chain accounts in business development or supply chain management, we are interested in talking to you!Our ideal candidate is someone self-motivated, driven, and able to multi-task; preferably someone able to think strategically, and adept at outlining and executing detailed plans to meet company and personal goals. A college degree is required, as is experience in seafood and/or a related supply chain field.The position will be based in Houston, TX, however we may consider individuals with strong sales and seafood backgrounds to work from a home office.There may be travel required as needed, including but not limited to trips to trade shows, industry functions, and overseas trips.ResponsibilitiesIdentify partnership opportunitiesDevelop new relationships to grow business and open new accountsMaintain existing business with current customersManage a profitable portfolioQualificationsBachelor s degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldSeafood and supply chain knowledgeWorking knowledge of distribution i.e. retail, foodservice, processors, brokers, etc.Proficient in developing and delivering presentations to customers and other decision makersStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven knowledge and execution of successful development strategiesFocused and goal-orientedCreative and practical problem-solving abilitiesExperienced in MS Office Suite, general accounting, and possesses excellent organizational skillsCompensationSalaried position with bonuses contingent on meeting sales goalsHealth and dental insurancePaid vacationYear-end bonusesProfit sharing opportunities
