Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) Services, is looking for a Survey Technician I to join our Industry Services team in Houston, Texas. Intertek’s Industry Services team uses expert technical knowledge of industries such as oil & gas, power generation, renewable energy, chemical, construction and transportation to provide a diverse range of innovative Total Quality Assurance solutions that optimize operations while minimizing risks in quality, safety and cost. Some of our key services include vendor inspection, site construction services, asset integrity management, non-destructive & materials testing, 3D laser scanning & dimensional control and energy & water consulting services. This position will travel at least 50% of the time Shift/Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm daily, with occasional overtime Salary & Benefits Information The base wage or salary range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00 per hour. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required An aptitude for math, computer technology, construction, reading plans, etc. Willing to learn and take direction from senior Surveyors Comfortable working within the oil and gas industry both in a plant environment and Offshore Ability to participate in a structured on-the-job training program to develop proficiency in the use of surveying knowledges, skills and abilities Model Intertek’s 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right way Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management Must be customer focused and quality driven Ability to travel as business needs dictate Intertek: Total Quality.
