This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing for a large, multi-state organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of weekly and semi-monthly payroll, managing benefits administration, and handling payroll tax filings. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality. Responsibilities: Manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for weekly and semi-monthly payroll. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Coordinate with HR team to manage benefits administration, including 401K, insurance, and other employee benefits. Handle payroll tax filings and ensure all tax obligations are met in a timely manner. Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies that arise. Process garnishments, deductions, and other special payroll transactions. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Develop, implement, and enforce payroll policies and procedures. Oversee and manage payroll system to ensure its accuracy and efficiency. Train and guide staff in the use of payroll-related systems and processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. 5-7 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in the Manufacturing industry. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) strongly preferred. Proficient in payroll software and systems, with a strong understanding of payroll best practices. Experience with multi-state payroll and a thorough understanding of state and federal wage and tax laws. Strong knowledge of benefits administration, including 401K and insurance benefits. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to reconcile complex payroll data. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. Interested in hearing more?
