This position is an integral part of our finance team and will be involved in various accounting and financial reporting aspects. This role will provide the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. Responsibilities: As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following: 1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounts payable and JIB functions. 2. Prepare and maintain ledger entries by compiling and analyzing account information. 3. Document financial transactions by entering account information. 4. Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations. 5. Handle financial reporting systems such as OGsys and Quorum. 6. Maintain a deep understanding of the energy oil and gas industry. 7. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. 8. Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor agreements. 9. Prepare monthly accruals and assist with month-end and year-end close processes. 10. Handle non-operating expenses and revenue accounting. 11. Enter JIB data into the system and ensure its accuracy. 12. Utilize Energy Link for various accounting tasks. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry. 3. Strong knowledge of accounts payable and JIB accounting. 4. Proficiency in the use of financial software, particularly OGsys and Quorum. 5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. 6. Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes. 7. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. 8. Ability to handle large amounts of data and compile detailed reports. 9. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. 10. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 11.
